Payment & Data Security on Aidapt

Aidapt Bathrooms Ltd. trading as aidapt.co.uk

The security of all your personal information is of the highest priority to us. The aidapt.co.uk website is secured with a Secure SSL certificate from Digicert, with full authentication capable of 128-bit encryption. This ensures that your personal data is protected through the use of encryption.

You can verify the security of your connection to the secure pages on our websites by looking out for the closed padlock symbol within your browser window.

You may buy online with confidence knowing your payments are SSL secured because we process credit card payments using Sage Pay, a division of Sage.

Sage Pay

Sage Pay (formerly Protx) is the largest independent payment service provider (PSP) in the UK and Ireland. Sage Pay provides a secure payment gateway (Level 1 PCI DSS), processing payments for thousands of online businesses, including ours. It is Sage Pay's utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way.

Sage Pay uses a range of secure methods such as fraud screening, IP address blocking and 3D secure. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards.

Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to the highest level and maintains regular security audits. They are also regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable.

Sage Pay is an active member of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

In addition, you know that your session is in a secure encrypted environment when you see https:// in the web address, and/or when you see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL.

So when buying through our site, you can be sure that you are completely protected.

Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure are new security programmes from Visa and MasterCard which give you enhanced protection when shopping online. They both allow you to create your own personal password, known only to you, for use as an extra security measure each time you use your credit card to make purchases online. You only need to register with Verified by Visa or MasterCard Secure once to create your password, then it will be effective for all future online purchases.

Transaction security

All transaction information passed between merchant sites and the SagePay VSP Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to our servers from SagePay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the SagePay servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

Encryption and Data Storage

Once on SagePay's systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract.

The data held by SagePay is extremely secure and they are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.

Links to banks

SagePay has multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the Internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.

Employee access

No individuals within SagePay are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. SagePay's systems only allow access to their most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police).

Your transaction information and customer card information is secure even from SagePay's own employees because their systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.

SagePay Accreditation

SagePay is audited by an independent company Trustwave to ensure that they are up-to-date with the latest encryption and security standards and that they comply with the stringent standards set out by the card schemes. Trustwave is an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for the payment card brands.
