Staff Review: The easy, portable access solution for wheelchairs and scooters |
16/01/2012 |
We like the idea of a simple mobility solution that can help you to get out and about and the Lightweight Channel Ramp really ticks the boxes for portability, ease of use and safety.
This pair of extending channel ramps is made from lightweight anodised aluminium, which makes the ramp extremely strong, yet entirely portable and they fold to a manageable size, so are ideal to keep in the car or even take with you when you're visiting relatives or friends.
Of course, we were also happy to see that safety is a priority and the ramps have a gritted, non-slip surface for extra grip, with sturdy raised lips at either side to keep you on the straight and narrow!
The strong material can hold up to 200 kg across both ramps, and we love the fact that this makes it safe to use not only with lightweight rollators and wheeled walking frames, but also wheelchairs and mobility scooters, offering a flexible solution to users who need help getting into and out of houses or cars, and making life easier for Carers and companions too. |
