Our technical staff are thoroughly assessed to ensure that they follow correct Health and Safety procedures, work in a considerate manner and carry out their work to a high standard. We also have a dedicated Quality Control Manager who visits our work sites before, during and after the installation takes place. All of this helps to confirm our commitment to offering you a high quality, reliable adaptations service.

We have a dedicated team of surveyors, multi-skilled technicians and support staff, who are considerate to you and your client's needs.

Aidapt has the advantage of being not just an installer, but a manufacturer as well, this allows us to control product development to suit the needs of our many discerning clients.

If we can be of any assistance in helping to maintain and promote mobility for you, a family member or a patient, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Adaptations Details and Process

The Adaptations Process

  1. We start with an existing bathroom and remove the fixtures and fittings in preparation for the new bathroom. Generally, the property is occupied during work, so we are careful to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum.
  2. All surfaces are cleaned and prepared for the installation of the new wall tiles and equipment. Preparation is always thorough to ensure that any new installation is to the highest standard.
  3. All Installations are guaranteed for a period of twelve months (wear and tear excluded) and are installed by accredited engineers.

Further Details

  • Survey times: We aim to achieve surveys within a reasonable timescale, normally within 15 working days of the initial request, with a quick return for quotations.
  • Lead times: Currently we are working 4-6 weeks from receipt of your official order to commencement on site, and constantly aim to keep time-scales within this margin.
  • Quality Assurance: All works are carried out to a high standard and should any problems arise they are effectively corrected (on average) within five days.
  • Electrics: Accredited NIC EIC or ECA electrical certificates are available on all adaptations that require electrical works.
  • Guarantee: All installations are guaranteed for a period of twelve months from completion against defects arising from manufacture or installation (misuse and everyday wear and tear are not covered).
  • Communication: We regularly maintain contact with all parties to ensure a smooth installation service is offered and all variations are confirmed in writing.
  • The Client and Service User: As most properties are inhabited when we undertake adaptations our technicians are aware and sympathetic to the client and service user's everyday needs. The technician will give the client plenty of notification of any services that may need to be temporarily shut down.

Adaptations Equipment and Mobility Products

All materials, equipment, fittings and fixtures used in our Bathroom Adaptations are ordered to the exact specifications of each project, to ensure that the finished work perfectly meets the needs of our clients.

Graded Wet Floors

Graded wet floors give true level access and can be achieved using a graded floor forma where a traditional wet floor is not possible.

Shower Trays

We have shower trays available in various sizes and configurations to suit most needs. They feature a slip resistant top for safety and integral drainage channels. The trays can be surface mounted at 30 mm high for near level access or rebated into the floor for entirely level access.

Shower Doors

Half height shower doors are fitted in position on tray and wet floor installations. Portable carer screens are used on wet floor installations to protect the carer during assisted showering.

Shower Cubicles

Shower cubicles provide a cost effective solution for bathing and toileting, should the user have difficulty accessing their own home facilities. They can be installed virtually anywhere in the home.

Showers & Accessories

Whether requirements call for a shower to run directly from the mains water supply, combination boiler systems or hot and cold water tanks, we can supply the necessary equipment as part of our bathroom adaptation and installation service. Variable speed pumps are also available, helping to reduce noise and improve pressure.

Bathroom Mobility and Adaptation Equipment

Our full range of bathroom mobility and adaptation equipment is extensive and includes:

Other Adaptations and Building Works

Ramps & Other Building Works

Aidapt Adaptations also carry out other building work such as installing concrete and metal ramps or platforms, fitting Stairlifts and conversions for sensory rooms.

As part of our bathroom adaptations, we are able to undertake the following tasks where necessary within the project:

  • Widen doorways
  • Supply and fit new doors
  • Remove walls
  • Supply and fit new windows
  • Construct new drainage runs

All work is undertaken by our highly trained staff and is carried out as neatly and unobtrusively as possible.

Access Control

We now supply and install a full range of access control systems, both wireless and hard wired.

Ideal for wheelchair users and the less able, they provide security and peace of mind for both the user and their families. Our systems are very easy to use and the large backlit buttons can be seen clearly in all conditions. They can be installed quickly and with minimum disruption to the property and user.

Sensory Rooms

Sensory rooms provide a stimulating and/ or relaxing environment away from everyday life.

They are designed to be as passively relaxing and calming as possible.

Computer controlled lighting, sound, video and aromas can be activated by the user through a range of controls as well as by the supervisor or carer.

Our designers and engineers are experienced in creating safe and unique solutions to meet your needs. No matter how straightforward or complex, we will happily provide designs and ideas along with the expertise to install and maintain the area.

Stairlifts

Aidapt are pleased to introduce our range of safe and easy to use stairlifts. We are able to supply both straight and curved track stairlifts designed by our surveyors to suit the client's needs.

Our stairlifts are quick to install and mess free. The stairlifts fit to the stairs and not the wall so there is no danger of damage to the building or decor.

Operating the stairlifts are easy using the simple touch controls on the armrests or via a remote control. Even those with limited mobility can easily use the soft touch buttons.

Safety is paramount as with all our other installations. The stairlifts can be locked to prevent unauthorised use and a safety belt is included on all models for security. The movement is regulated for a stable ride and the chair detects any obstructions.

User comfort is also very important; the seat, back and arms are generously padded, and the seat swivels and locks in place for ease of transfer.
